I’m a therapist because:

I’m fascinated by people.  I’m fascinated by their lives as they have been, by their lives as they are, and by their lives as they could be.

I’m a Cognitive Hypnotherapist because:

it’s an amazing blend of things that work.  From straightforward listening skills, to teaching clients more about themselves than they have known before, to taking clients back to events that have shaped their beliefs, and reframing or consolidating them as necessary.  The depth and breadth of the therapy is engaging and stimulating and no two days are the same, just as no two clients are the same.

I’m a therapist because:

“Nothing is, unless our thinking makes it so.”  The mind is plastic, and we can change our thoughts.  When we change our thoughts, we can change our lives.

My practice is called OneBreath because:

when I was going through a stressful time caring for my elderly father I used to remind myself to ‘take a breath, just one breath’ when things got tough.  Staying in the moment, OneBreath at a time, one step at a time, one day at time.
