My name is Kathryn Coughtrey and I am a Quest Institute trained Cognitive Hypnotherapist, based in Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire.
My aim is to inspire my clients and facilitate the changes they want in the most effective way for each individual that comes to see me. I firmly believe we already have all the resources we need, it’s just that sometimes, we don’t have access to our innate talents. Cognitive Hypnotherapy uses a variety of techniques that enable me to create a unique solution for each and every one of my clients.
I’ve always been fascinated by the power of the mind, and my career has seen me working with a broad variety of people, in a wide range of settings and this has only deepened my desire to understand people and what makes them tick. Studying Cognitive Hypnotherapy has given me to tools to not only understand people better, but to be able to help them find their way – whether they are anxious, depressed, stressed or suffering from a phobia or fear. I love to see my clients grow, change and expand their horizons.
I am married with a grown up son and I have lived in Berkhamsted for over ten years. I have had the opportunity to enjoy many roles in life – from mother to playwright; from secretary to film maker; from carer to chorister and I have now embraced a career that I am passionate about – as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist.
I have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Linguistics from the Open University, and I am passionate about guiding others to help them to achieve their goals and find solutions for their problems. I gained my Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy and NLP Master Practitioner Certificate from the Quest Institute at Regent’s University in London. I am a member of the QCHPA (Quest Cognitive Hypnothapy Practitioners Association), the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council) and the NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy) and am bound by their Codes of Ethics. I am fully insured for Public Liability and Professional Indemnity.
